May 25 - June 1, 2011

Hudson finally got to meet the sun! It's been a long and yucky spring with 27 days of rain out of the last 30. I was so happy to see the sun that I brought Hudson outside to see what he thought of it. It was a little too bright for him but overall he really enjoyed the experience. He was very curious about the feel of the grass on his hands and feet.

Larissa received this pretty John Deere bike for Easter in 2010 but she never showed much interest in it. She only drove it a couple of times for a couple of minutes and gave up. We thought she just didn't like bikes. Well, her school is having a bike rally so I told her that she needed to practice really hard if she wanted to go because all the other children would know how to ride their bikes. She has been working so hard and is riding so much better! She can actually go up and down the driveway by herself now instead of me having to go behind her and push.

Soccer started this week!! This is Larissa's 3rd year in soccer and what a huge difference in her this year. The past two years she was so painfully shy that she rarely joined in any of the activities. This year was much different thanks to school. She has gotten used to being around different children and plus, most of the children on her team are her classmates. She was totally comfortable and played/practiced really well!

Jumping jacks... which looked more like Larissa thought she was a bird and was flapping away.

And push-ups...which was hilarious. Larissa kept her arms stiff and just moved her butt up and down LOL!!

Larissa turned and said to me as she got on the bus "Bye Mom!!! Have a fun day with your screaming kid" LOL!!!!
